A perk of the Trail Patrol job As many of you know, our biggest job while out on Patrol is to be an ambassador for the club.
I personally would like to thank the quick thinking and dedication of the Trail Patrol members that
were out with me on Saturday of this past weekend. While travelling south on the lake, we came acrossed
2 different incidents where sleds had broken down leaving the riders stranded. The first one was a simple
belt change that we assisted in, but the second was more terminal.
Here is a letter that I received from the second group that we assisted:
Hi Brian,
I am not sure if you were with the group who helped us out on Saturday. Nevertheless, could you please forward this message to each of them on our behalf.
To All Who Came to Our Rescue,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am new to snowmobiling and felt panicked and overwhelmed when my husband's machine gave out on Lake Scugog on Saturday. Leaving my seven year old daugther with him while I went to get rope was especially difficult. My panicked mind was not thinking very clearly. (As I said I am new to this.) When I returned there you were. Ready and willing to help. You were all so friendly and kind. It is very reassuring to know that there are people out there who will help you out when you need it most. The Port Perry Club is fortunate to have such exemplary ambassadors out there on the trails.
Thanks again,
Nicole, Glen and Emmeline ******

Again thanks to the Fellow trail patrol (and riders) that were out with me at the time.

That made my day :D (well along with this mornings awesome ride :P ) Lets not forget those who were just riding with us when we happened upon these distressed sleds, as trail patrol we are obligated to stop and help (comes with the title) buy guy's like Kevin (Kevchev) and Vinny Chenzo76 stop because they are true sledders.

Very nice of Nicole to take the time to write you an Email. I could tell when she returned with the rope that she was in a panic and it would have been dark on the lake soon as it was late afternoon. Special thanks to Vinny (Chenzo76) for being a good shepard to Emmeline in giving her a ride back to Port on his machine!
