E108 Port to Fenelon, B103 Fenelon to Port Ran up to Fenelon today, trails north of lake Scugog weren't all that bad in fact pretty darn good running I'd say. Two short fields had to be run at a snails pace but other than that it was all good. E108 rail bed west of Lindsay was already chewed by the time we got on it around 1pm, but still good running. Lindsay bypass was passable, but garbage as always. (I and my family will continue to boycot the town of Lindsay for not being sled friendly, too bad cause my wife is a champion shopper)
E108 from Lindsay to Fenelon was chewed but still smooth, ok running. Had lunch in Fenelon checked out Camon lake which is now staked than we headed back via B103 .......... like night and day, B103 was great running the whole way back to the Cannington split, even the ditch sections were good, all the fields had great snow coverage, fast, flat and smooth! and the rail line was fantastic right up to the split down through Manilla, the reroutes on and off the rail bed were great too.
117.6 miles in all, awesome day glad we made the choice to run right from here. :D Wont take much snow to make all those trails A-1 ........... lets hope it happens soon.
We only took a few pic's ......... to busy having fun riding.

Wow that looks pretty good Rick, think she'll hold up for the weekend, or is it just looking good right now due to the light midweek traffic?

She's going to need more snow to make it through to the weekend traffic was steady but picked up pretty good on our way back. We also heard from a few guys that it got real good north of Burnt River, I hope Attack7 (Regan) gives us a report on his ride tonight.

We unloaded from the park in Fenelon on Friday. The railbed was groomed smooth right to Haliburton. The railbed was showing some rocks from Fenelon to about the Burnt River area but north of the the railbed was sweet!! Cameron lake is staked going over towards Balsam Lake. Some of the lakes in Haliburton are staked and good to ride. Lots of sleds out and about in Haliburton and so are the OPP. I was stopped yesterday on the railbed and asked to show everything. Glad to see then out doing their jobs!! Trail #7 in Haliburton is groomed and not in bad shape. There is a couple of wet spots but you can get around them easy.
All in all not a bad day. We put on 220km's and had a good day......

Hmmm....musta been a slow day - the OPP out on a Thursday afternoon. I've pounded through Haliburton numerous times on weekdays and barely saw wind of other sleds, let alone the cops. Thank god too I might add, at slightly more than the legal speed limit  , I would just as soon not see any - save them for the weekends when its really busy.

Yup I think they had nothing to do because they went over my sled and asked me for all the info!! The must be getting ready for the Kelly Shires Run in Haliburton this weekend

Hello all. I noticed on the Heart of Ontarios site that the trail joining Port Perrys trail to Cresswell was closed due to some cattle still being in a field. Is this part of the E108. A bunch of us are planning a trip Sunday up to Fenelon and I am wondering if this is true and are there ways around it if it is. I also noticed that the trail down through Little Britain and Valentia way is closed for the season. Is there any other trails that would bring us back down through to Nestleton area?

Just follow the signs easy reroute, but I'd only go Sunday if theres more snow ...... that trails going to see a lot of traffic tomorrow.
See Ganny Thread !

I think we did about 60 km. Partying most of the time at my friend's cottage. There was 9 of us.I would say the trails in Sundridge were from limited to fair. The groomers were not out yet this season.
