Electrical Problem
I have an older AC Panther that the wife rides. Was out getting it running today and noticed the headlight was out both high and low beams. Put a new bulb in put it on the stand reved it up and within seconds it blew again both beams and then followed by the tail light and high beam indicator. I have a feeling I need a new voltage regulator but maybe I should be checking something else as well. If anyone can give me some more ideas on what else I should look for it would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like your going in the right direction with the Vol Reg, you might of cooked the dash lights too. to double check, unplug the dash lights (incase there not fried) and leave the hand and tumb warmers off (they'll melt the grips pretty quick if your vol reg is gone) fire it up and check output voltage at the head light socket. If you have over 13.5V and heavy fluctuation when reving, it'll be your voltage regulator.

Thanks, I am pretty sure that is the problem because the handle bar heaters were really hot. I will be checking it out again later today and try and get it fixed.

Fixed, now to drain the old gas and put new plugs in and fuel filter and it should be good to. It has decided now that it only wants to get up to proper performance by feathering the throttle. Hopefully the above will solve the problem. It seems there is always something that needs to be done with this sled. Must be a sign to get rid of it and buy something newer.
