Just in from my first ride!
With 5" of the new white stuff, I couldn't resist putting a few laps in around the neighbourhood. I guessed I'm up to 5 km's so far this season. (5 on each sled, that is)

port perry got 5"?? in brooklin got like 1/2" of ice, and 1.5" of ice balls

5 kms is still 5 kms more than ya had, beats riding the couch !! At the very least ya probably got rid of the itch... When I took the dog out this morning, there sure is a base now with the wet icy stuff we got, and then the cold. You can probably sled on the top and not even go through. Now if we just had another 10cm on top of it we'd be off to the Ganny Friday as planned!

Well looks like i will have to wash the truck 6 times today as each time i wash it we get a bit of snow the next day so off to the car wash i go......

Betcha just want more now, I find the first ride makes the itch worse  We'll at least Scugog wil be ready by this weekend with these temps

Still thinkin of a get together to run the lake on Sat. Rick? Wonder if anywhere else (within reason) will be ridable on Saturday. I ain't in to doing no more scraping and sandblasting and it looks like nobody else got much more snow than us. Kev - you in for a lake ride/play on Saturday if nothing else is available?

Kev - you in for a lake ride/play on Saturday if nothing else is available? 10-4 it looks like Paudash is packing and grooming, but with these limited amounts of snow and 620,000 other sledders chomping at the bit, I'll just putt around Scugog for the weekend till things get setup real good. that is unless we see a good dumping between now Friday ................ if we do I'm north :D

I was thinkin the same thing, most areas lost a lot like us Thurs and Friday, and have only got 6-8" since. The cold is allowing the packing to commence, but I think like you say, there is going to be a LOT of people out and those 6" ain't gonna last too long in the corners. No more sand and gravel blasting for me thanks.
