Open water everywhere...
Tried to get out today for a few hours, but seemed to hit the wet stuff at almost every turn. While some spots were just over creeks and not that deep, being alone, I chose a lot of 180's - not wanting to get stuck & not wanting to make the trails any worse... We need COLD temps and soon !! E108 between Simcoe & Old Simcoe: South fro E108 to Reach St. / HWY12 JCT along the Nonqoun: Looking South over Lake Scugog: Had to cross Scugog to get from where I live to the 108 (about100' worth). VERY Mushy and NOT a good feeling. Some people may like that, but not me - Life's too short.... Hopefully things firm up soon, but as I watch the news just now, they're saying that there's rain in the forecast :(

Ya, it will be a weekend filled with picking and choosing your spots to ride. We (PPSC) had scouters out today to see what we could declare open and stuff we thought was gonna freeze up actually opened up..... You will see the trail conditions reflect what they found.

Thanks for the first hand update and pic's Hydroid, east of the club house or north of the Nonquon are best bets for this weekend, both are in great "dry" well groomed condition, Same as PPSC #2 from the lake to E108 and E108 (old rail line) north from PPSC # 2, but getting to either you have run the slush ruts on the lake.

Your welcome. Unfortunately, I have that four letter word this weekend (work), but am off Monday and hope to get ou - even if I have to trailer somewhere. With the current warmish temps and rain (again !!), hopefully there's somewhere semi-close to trailer to.. Too bad about the trail from Port to the Clubhouse.... Maybe from the clubhouse east to Noone's. Anyone done that run lately ??

What a difference a day makes...
Wow, what a difference a few cold days make. Went on a run from Port to Seagrave and then over to and down the island trail back to port. Here's some pics. The first three are in exactly the same location as the three pictures I posted to start this thread. What a difference a few cold days make. To boot, the blowing snow filled in most of the washboard on the trails and except for a short spot on the island trail, the trails were near perfect ! In over 85km, I didn't see one bit of water :D

Great pic's Hydroid, looks like were going to be in fine shape for the poker run on the 24th  The islands going to be rough for a few more days, as the "Eliminator" (baby Bombi island groomer) is down with clutch problems. Kelly, Peter and Brian have been hard at her trying to get back up and running but she's proving to be a worthy adversary, they now have the issue figured out and parts on the way. The boy's are doing there best to have her back up and grooming for the weekend.
