The first of the Yami crew shows up with some demo units and starts
the unloading, while TVB directs traffic and parking.
Another Yami trailer loaded up with sled arrives
At around 8:30 - 9ish, one of the Yamaha reps asked me if I could
give a VIP tour to some visiting Yamaha exec's and two snowcross racers from Japan'
so off we went on A-1 groomed trails for an hour loop out to Long Sault SC,
club house and back. Neet to ride with these guy's, they were in awe about the trails,
(seeing as for the most part they only ride at motor sport parks and in the mountains
back home, as they don't have a trail network over there like we do) The look on
their faces when I told them we have 41,000 klm of interconnecting trails in Ont was priceless.
Here's what things looked like when we got back to the club house after our ride.
Blackstar and SnogirlFX (friends from HCS, from down Kitchener way) just finishing up registering and about
to split for a ride east out to Noones and back, before they hop on a Yami
Lot and lots of ride in's .... they just kept coming, for the most part it was organized real well
by Yamaha and our volunteers. ride up register grab a bite to eat, ride a Yami, register for another
ride, take off on your own sled for a an hour or two, then come back and ride another Yamaha.
While some rode in-between rides, others hung around to eat and socialized or just play in the snow
Kevchev, Takkona and TVB taking a much needed break, from doing everything from
riding lead or sweep in the demo's, to escorting quads and 4x4's off the trail. Or just running
around helping out and keeping people entertained .... awesome work guys !!!
Tow rigs as far as the eye can see, there was a line at least 2klm long down Russell rd.
More sleds .... they just kept coming, like a pilgrimage to Sledmecca
Fuel up time for the demo fleet at around 12:30 - 1ish.
Our south end groomer operator and grooming captain Warren, headed out and
did a midday pass on the demo route to make up for the extra traffic today.
Some shots of a demo ride gang in action in the afternoon, it was
great to see the trails on the demo route holding up well,
right to the end of the day. Some sections got pretty soft,
but nothing really went down to dirt on the demo route,
except for the hill behind the club house.
Big props to our grooming crew.
A quick glimpse of DooDaDave flying by on a Yami .... you converted yet Dave ??
I have so many to thank I hope I don't miss any, sorry if I do folks.

Here's a quick rundown on todays demo ride stats
The Yamaha Canada reps said it was their second most successful Yamafest in Canada  113 registered riders riding a 10 mile 15 min loop, 16 sleds 14 loops for the day, 224 rides, so most had the chance to ride two or more models, thats a lot of rides on some great sleds ............. Great day with a lot of great people, again thanks to all.
